Brake Spoon Service my car

How it works

What happens on the day

You book a day, tell us what the car needs, and choose whether you want it back the same day or the next. Here is the visit itself, start to finish.

Step 01

Tell us what's going on

Pick a day and a time window, then describe what your car needs in your own words: the annual Virginia inspection, the 60,000-mile service, a repair you've been putting off, or "a clunk over bumps." Two minutes. You can reschedule up to the day before.

Step 02

Pickup and dispatch

Your driver arrives inside the window and photographs the car from every side to document its condition. Hand over the keys, or leave them in a lockbox. The car goes to a vetted local shop under our commercial policy, and a live tracking link is on your phone the whole way.

Step 03

The quote, filtered

We book the shop and handle every call with it. Its findings come to us before they come to you: we translate the diagnosis into plain language, check every line against the manufacturer's schedule and Virginia's inspection standard, strip the upsells, and send you an itemized estimate. Every decision is yours, and the shop does not turn a wrench until you approve the specific line.

Step 04

Return and receipt

The car comes back to your driveway or your office, same day or next day, with return photos, an itemized receipt at the shop's exact price, and the shop's parts and labor warranty, all saved to your vehicle's history for next time.

Before and after

Half a day, down to minutes.

The old way

  • Drive to the shop and drop the car off
  • Ride-share home and back: typically $30–50 and 45+ minutes round trip in Richmond
  • Or sit in the lobby for two to three hours
  • Take a call with a quote you can't evaluate
  • Decide on the spot, then go back to get it

If it's an inspection and the car fails

Virginia gives you a rejection sticker that is valid for 15 days.

  • Every failed item cited against the standard it failed
  • Recommendations kept separate from rejections
  • Approve the fix and the station repairs and reinspects in the same visit
  • Prefer your own mechanic? We'll take it there instead

How we keep it honest

The quote review works because our incentives are clean.

  • We take no commission from any shop
  • Parts, labor, and state fees pass through at cost
  • Nothing is authorized without your approval
  • Your data stays yours, never sold or shared

Tell us what your car is doing.

Booking takes about two minutes. From $59 per visit, with parts and labor at the shop’s price.
